Textures: Grit and Wet

I love texture in photography, which is probably why I just about always work in black and white. Black and white photography has the ability to really bring out textural attributes in a way that color photography can not.  By removing the color, other attributes of the image come alive.  Texture being one of them. Concrete Blocks

I'm not always sure what compels me to take the pictures I do.  At the time I'm photographing, I just kind of let go and allow myself to do what seems right at the time.  This is a perfect example of that.  Concrete Blocks?  Why am I taking these pictures?  It turns out, that these images of hunks of concrete display some of what I find beautiful about abstract black and white photography.  Texture, Negative Space, and Shapes.
