Nosara, Costa Rica

March 15, 2014

I've been going on surf trips to Costa Rica since the early 90's.  Nosara (Playa Guiones) has been one of the locations my surf buddies and I just about always ended up.  It has consistent, good surf, and is within easy reach of other less crowded breaks.  Nosara has grown up a lot since I first visited, but that allows me to take my wife there now.  She doesn't need a 5 star hotel, but she does like air conditioning and laying by the pool.  We stayed at The Gilded Iguana which was the perfect place to stay for us.  The Gilded Iguana is very close to the beach, has an incredible restaurant, air conditioned rooms, and has a pool.  That combination is Nirvana for my wife. The Gilded Iguana

When I wasn't surfing, we spent a bunch of time hanging out on the beach.  I, of course, spent some time photographing.
